Chamber plans working mothers' luncheon next week

Posted September 12, 2013

The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce will hold its Working Mothers' Luncheon next week at The Umstead Hotel and Spa.

The event will feature Peggy Collins, author of "Help is Not a Four-Letter Word." Collins will talk about how to identify the signs and symptoms of "self-sufficiency syndrome," break the cycle of extreme self-sufficiency; and learn who to ask and who not to ask for help.

The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sept. 19, at the hotel, 100 Woodland Pond Dr., Cary.

Tickets are $35 per employee for chamber member firms and $50 for non-members. For details and to register, click here.

I've been to these before and have had a great time listening to the speakers and meeting other moms (I'm looking at you, newssavvy).

Hi Sarah, This is how I met you at a Working Mother's luncheon with Carol Evans, remember? I got her book and she signed it, but I have not finshed reading it as long as that has been ago. I would love to go to this one at the Umstead Spa.
