Raleigh, N.C. — Lots of great places to find food trucks this week and details on an upcoming beer festival.
Movies in the Garden at Raleigh Little Theatre
Movies in the Garden, a free series at the Raleigh Little Theatre’s Stephenson Amphitheatre (which is next to the Raleigh Rose Garden, hence the title), kicks off Sunday. Food trucks will be there, as well as, beer from Raleigh Brewing Company.
Casks for a Cause 6
Many breweries and home brewers have collaborated to design special casks and drafts for this event Saturday at Fortnight Brewing in Cary. A suggested donation of $20 is recommended. Proceeds will benefit The UNC Farm at Penny Lane. The Tot Spot, the tater tot food truck, will be there.
Morfa Empanadas’ Grand Opening
Awhile back, I highlighted new food truck Morfa Empanadas. They will set up at Durty Bull Brewing, Durham’s newest brewery, for their Grand Opening this Friday evening. Durty Bull has a wide selection of guest taps with a few of their collaborations on tap.
Beericana goes on sale Saturday
The third annual beer festival organized by 919 Beer takes place on Sept. 10. The event takes place in Sugg Farm Park in Holly Springs and features more 70 craft breweries, 20 food trucks and three North Carolina-based bands. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday at 10 am.
New Food Truck Highlight
With new trucks entering the scene, we will feature a new food truck each week. Havana Dave’s is a new Cuban cuisine food truck that has rolled into the Triangle. From what I have been hearing, they are bringing authentic cuisine. It may help that ownership’s family has Cuban heritage. This is one truck on my radar.
