CARY, N.C. — A Cary woman was arrested Sunday morning after police say she stabbed another woman.

Officers were called to the home of Renee Elaine Johnson, at 613 Pony Club Circle, around 8:45 a.m., in response to a domestic dispute.

The victim, Francheska Terry, 34, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Johnson, 35, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury and was jailed under a $500,000 secured bond.

Investigators said the two were reportedly in a relationship that had recently ended.

Johnson's first court appearance was scheduled for Monday.
