A scavenger hunt will tie in math and art in Cary on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014

Natural Math and Cary Visual Art are teaming up with an event on Saturday aimed at offering a fun and alternative approach to learning about math and art.

Maria Droujkova and Yelena McManaman are the Triangle moms and creators of Natural Math. I featured their work to make math fun and exciting for young kids last year. Their work also was featured this year in an article in The Atlantic.
Droujkova tells me that they'll be setting up a "smart math scavenger hunt" through the Cary Visual Art's Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition in downtown Cary. The event is 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, in the downtown Cary Performance Green. Check Cary Visual Art's website for more information.

It's designed for all ages and free!
