Cary's Night Out, which features the town's public safety officials and vehicles, has been moved to Sunday because of tonight's predicted rain and cold temperatures.

It's now noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, on West Chatham Street from Academy Street to Harrison Avenue.

The Town of Cary Police Department is inviting the public to come out for an evening to learn more about safety and community unity.

Police, fire and emergency personnel will be on hand to talk about the town's various safety initiatives. There will be K9 demonstrations and free crime prevention assessments. Officers and firefighters will be competing in strength and agility competitions. A children's zone will include police and fire vehicles to explore.

The event includes free food while supplies last.
