The Cary Theater's Film Day-Fun Day returns with two movies this month.

The series, which launched earlier this summer, is designed especially for families with young children. The theater takes out some of the chairs in the front of the theater and adds play mats for the youngest guests. The house lights stay at half so you can see your kids. Expect kids to be dancing and having fun as they take in some of the kid-friendly movie. While they play, their adults can enjoy some coffee from the theater's coffee shop during the film.

Tickets are just $1.

Here's the schedule for August:

10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16: The 1941 kids’ classic, “Mr. Bug Goes to Town”

10 a.m., Aug. 30, "Horton Hears a Who"
