Cary Creative (reuse) Center is offering big deals as it makes plans to move out of its space this weekend and seeks another location.

The center, which opened a couple of years ago, is similar to Durham's Scrap Exchange. The non-profit promotes the use of recycled items through creative projects and educational programs. It has anything from ribbon and fabric to boxes for old VHS tapes and office materials. Local businesses and individuals typically donate items to the center.

Right now, they're trying to clear the space out to make the move from their building on Wilkinson Avenue in Cary to a new space later this fall. The center has special deals for teachers and homeschoolers today (Tuesday). There's a $10 grab bag sale on Wednesday. There are other deals on Thursday and Friday.

It might be a great spot to load up on craft items for holiday projects.

According to the center's blog, leaders hope to announce a grand opening in a new location around Nov. 1.
