CARY, N.C. — Cary police on Friday distributed video images of a man who is believed to be is responsible for several daytime burglaries of homes in the area of Two Creeks Road and High Meadows Drive.

Investigators are hoping someone will recognize the man, who is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall to 6 feet tall and in his late teens or early 20s.

The burglaries have happened over the last two weeks, and the thief has entered the homes by breaking back windows or doors. In one case, several weapons were stolen from a home.

“It is a particularly bold individual who breaks into homes in daylight,” Cary police Capt. Randall Rhyne said in a statement. “Our residents’ safety is our primary concern, and we ask them to call the police department anytime they see suspicious people or activities.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Cary police at 919-469-4012 or Crime Stoppers at 919-460-4636. Crime Stoppers pays cash for anonymous tips that lead to arrests.
