Vantage South Bank robbery
CARY, N.C. — Police are looking for two men who were donned in black from head to toe when they robbed a Cary bank Monday morning.

Investigators said the men were armed and wearing black robes, face masks and scarves when they walked into Vantage South Bank, at 1005 High House Road, just after 9 a.m., demanded money and then fled on foot.

Police believe they may now be traveling in a red passenger car.

Further details about the car or the robbers' descriptions weren't immediately available, but investigators said they do not believe the robbery is related to one around 3 a.m. Sunday at McDonald's at 869 SE Maynard Road.

In that case, the men were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, sunglasses and gloves, and their faces were covered with camouflage bandanas.

Anyone in the area during the time of either robberies or anyone who might have information that could help police solve the crimes is asked to contact the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746.
