Cary police are searching for a 50-year-old woman who is believed to be cognitively impaired.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police are searching for a 50-year-old woman who is believed to be cognitively impaired.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Mary Victoria Anne Arends at about midnight after she went missing from a home in the 200 block of East Chatham Street.

Arends is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has long grey hair and hazel eyes, police said.

When she disappeared, Arends was wearing a light brown jacket and blue jeans. She was also carrying a black back pack.
