Cary police search for bank robber

— Police were searching Tuesday for a man who robbed a bank inside a Cary supermarket.

The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money from the Suntrust Bank branch in the Harris Teeter at 2741 N.C. Highway 55 at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The robber was described as a black man in his mid-30s, about 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9 and 160 to 170 pounds. He has a goatee and was wearing a short-sleeve, red polo shirt and black pants.

Anyone near the area during the time of the robbery is asked to call the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4324 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746.

    What exactly did Mugu say that you took offense to?

    Kudos to WRAL for giving the most detailed description they could based on the facts they were provided. Anyone in Cary reading the story will keep an eye out for someone fitting that description. They may be able to help the Cary Police get him off the streets so that the law-abiding citizens will be safe. He committed a crime and needs to do the time regardless of his skin color.
