Two sought in robbery of Cary McDonald's

Investigators said the men walked into the 24-hour fast-food restaurant at 869 SE Maynard Road shortly after 3 a.m., flashed a gun and ended up leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police are looking for two men wanted in the armed robbery early Sunday of a local McDonald's.

Investigators said the men walked into the 24-hour fast-food restaurant at 869 SE Maynard Road shortly after 3 a.m., flashed a gun and ended up leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both men's faces were covered with a camouflage bandana.

One of the men was described as a skinny, black man in his early 20s who stood 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, orange gloves and dark athletic pants with white stripes. He carried a blue backpack.

The second man was described as a black man in his early 20s who was 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, black gloves and blue jeans.

Several employees were in the restaurant, but there were no reports of injuries.
