Cary Police Cannot Identify Jogger Struck by Car

Posted Updated

CARY, N.C. — Police asked for the public's help in identifying a female runner who was seriously injured by a car near Reedy Creek Road and Dynasty Drive shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The woman was reported to be in serious condition at WakeMed and was unable to speak to tell police who she is, they said.

They described her as being Hispanic or Indian, with black hair and about 5-feet-4. She was wearing a lime green top, blue jogging pants and blue-and-white athletic shoes. She was also wearing one pink sock and one white sock, police said.

“We’re hoping that anyone with information on the jogger will come forward, as she wasn’t carrying identification at the time of the accident,” said Lt. Mark Parker.

Anyone who can help identify the woman was asked to call the police watch commander at 919-469-4016.
