CARY, N.C. — Police have charged a Cary man with second-degree exploitation of a minor in a child pornography investigation that allegedly led to his computer, according to a search warrant released Friday.

Marvin Allen Johnson, 48, was arrested Thursday afternoon and placed in the Wake County jail.

On Friday, investigators seized two computers, 11 VHS tapes, two DVDs marked "Adult XXX," 23 floppy disks, a camcorder and cellphone from Johnson's home, at 202 Woodcreek Drive, apartment L, according to the warrant.

Investigators say Johnson offered to distribute child pornography on peer-to-peer file-sharing sites 384 times between Dec. 12 and Feb. 11.
