Cary man, 22, killed in wreck

Posted February 7, 2011

— A 22-year-old Cary man was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle wreck on Lake Wheeler Road north of Penny Road in Raleigh, authorities said.

Jeffrey Tabor Post Jr., of 711 North Hampton Drive, ran his 1994 Chevrolet Blazer off the right side of the road twice before going down a small embankment, overturning and hitting a tree shortly before 8 a.m., according to the state Highway Patrol.

He died at the scene. There were no passengers in the SUV, and no other vehicles were involved.

Speed was a factor in the crash, troopers said. However, they did not release how fast he was going.

Thank you for your message. Since you've met him you can obviously only imagine how difficult his childhood had been growing up. He had always had it a little bit harder than the typical child. I am so proud that he started school again. I love and miss him with all my heart. He missed out on so much of lifes good experiences. I pray that he is no longer suffering. He had a test that morning. He had studied.
I hate hearing how much people dwell on the incident of speeding. How many Americans have ALWAYS gone the speed limit. Exactly. And to answer the insensitive remarks. Yes, I am very very grateful that nobody else was involved. However, it is very unfortunate to know that there are people in this world who are so cruel and insensitive. However, even though I read the insensitive remarks, I would never hope the same nor say the same if you lost someone dear to you. Thoughts may occur, thats normal. But there is a point where u bite your tounge. Thanks for your response

to mandieransford... your brother was in my 1pm class and our teacher made the announcement today after our quiz. he will be missed. take comfort in knowing that you have a bright angel looking down on you and his suffering is over. don't let people's callous and insensitive remarks on here add to your grief. no matter what the cause of the crash was, he is no longer with us. take care

I'm no genius...but I know one thing...Speed Kills. Slow down a little folks.

    Not insensitive. Matter of fact.

You have got be absolutely flying in a vehicle to do that kind of damage and be killed instantly. Fortunately he didn't kill anyone else.

"I don't think that this kind of comment hurts the family. I think most of us sympathize with their loss. They have to know that he was probably speeding..... so sad & senseless!"

"Fortunately this guy didn't kill anyone else."

Just in case you two geniuses missed it, this young man's sister posted a comment here this morning. Whether she or anyone else in this man's family saw what you wrote or not, you two and anyone else on here that put up insensitive remarks should be ashamed of yourselves. How would any of you like it if someone in your family made the news because of tragedy and comments like some on this forum were posted? You people are disgusting.

"He was needed in a better place sweety, God called him home and he is in a much better place now....I know he would want you to celebrate hislife, not be sad. He may have missed out on things you feel are important, he led a pure life. He didnt miss a thing, he was loved and loved back...what more could you want from life"........"He was 22yrs young:(...He did live a man amongst men, now he spreads wings amongst angels, he's smiling at you from heaven, telling you he's ok now....he knows he'll see you again, and that one last, I love you, will be the first of an eternity."

Thank you Tom for your words. My mind is just so full right now and my heart just feels pain. I cant help but ask questions and pray he didnt feel pain.

I love you Butler. I miss you.
