Cary, N.C. — Firefighters briefly evacuated part of Cary Towne Center after smoke triggered an alarm Saturday afternoon, town officials said.
The alarm went off around 2 p.m., and the food court area was evacuated. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters determined that there was no fire and that equipment being used by a worker produced some smoke that triggered the alarm.
The situation returned to normal by around 3 p.m.
