CARY, N.C. — Investigators are looking for whoever is responsible for spray-painting the words "booger" and "snot" throughout Cary in recent months.
Capt. Don Hamilton with the Cary Police Department said that, since January, the graffiti has covered at least 20 businesses, apartment complexes, roadside signs and parks inside or just outside the Maynard Road loop.
None of the vandalism has caused permanent damage, and police believe it is meant to be harmless fun.
Hamilton, however, said clean-up is costly can't be overlooked.
Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to call the police department at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-460-4636.
