Cary boutique holds fall fashion show
Posted October 8, 2012
Peachy Keen just opened in August, but the owners have already put together a fall fashion show to kick off the season.
Update: The fashion show has sold out. Please keep an eye out for Peachy Keen's spring fashion show!
On Wednesday evening guests will be treated to a fun, fashionable event featuring outfits put together by Peachy Keen's creative driving force, Karly Hankin. Local hair and makeup artists will demonstrate their skills on models from a nearby modeling school. Fire & Ice is inspired by a grim yet beautiful Robert Frost poem, and the looks will have a gritty and dark undertone. Half of the models will represent "ice," with sleek, modern and cool looks, and the other half will wear bright, vibrant pieces to demonstrate "fire."
There are three sections to the show, which will feature casual looks, dressy pieces and then cocktail dresses. Fire & Ice will showcase Peachy's Keen's varied and unique items that complement a range of styles.
Tickets are currently sold out. All guests will get access to a pre-show cocktail hour, a goodie bag, $10 store credit, entry to a raffle for great prizes and an after-show wine and cupcake gathering. Raffle prizes include gift cards to local restaurants, free facials, spa treatments, gift bags and more.
The family-run boutique's mission is to bring together mothers and daughters for an enjoyable shopping experience. Peachy Keen features lesser-known designers that won't be found at department stores or other boutiqes, for prices that won't break the bank. The clothes range from funky cocktail dresses to casual jeans and boots, all fitting in nicely with the vintage and quirky decor. Stop by and say hello, and visit the family's jewelry store, Joint Venture Jewelry, at the same location.
