Posted — UpdatedWENDELL, N.C. — Students at Carver Elementary School will have a new principal next fall.
Allison Baker, 41, resigned before the school system could complete an investigation into her conduct, said Michael Evans, a spokesman for Wake County schools.
Evans said Baker, who had worked for the school system since 2002, submitted her resignation June 1. She had been on paid leave since May 22 after a "negative interaction with a student," Evans said.
Evans declined to provide more detail about the interaction with the student, saying it was a private personnel matter.
