Carthage man faces child sex charges
The Moore County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Carthage man in connection with the July 4 sexual assault of a 7-year-old child.

CARTHAGE, N.C. — The Moore County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Carthage man in connection with the July 4 sexual assault of a 7-year-old child.
Randy Lee Ritter, 50, of 149 Warren Road, was charged Thursday with one count each of felony second-degree sex offense, felony indecent liberties with a child, felony child abuse, sexual battery, assault on a child under 12 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Ritter was placed in the Moore County jail under a $1 million bond. He is due in court July 29.
