— Moore County authorities on Friday arrested a Carthage man who fled from a courtroom and led sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase.

The sheriff's office said Brandon Daniel Lane, 25, of 10939 N.C. Highway 24/27, came to Moore County District Court Thursday for a hearing about possible pending charges, but he left the courthouse and sped away in his vehicle. Deputies chased Lane to N.C. Highway 27 West, where he fled on foot into a wooded area.

Lane was caught a day later and arrested on numerous charges, including felony fleeing to elude, reckless driving to endanger and resisting arrest. He was also charged with three counts each of identity theft and three counts financial card theft.

Lane was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $7,500 secured bond.

That's a poorly written article. I can only guess that their still looking for him, and the charges listed are from an earlier arrest.
