CARTHAGE, N.C. — Moore County sheriff's deputies on Thursday arrested a Carthage man accused of sexually assaulting two victims under 12 years old.

Joshua James Reeves, 27, of 130 Greenwood Lane, faces two counts each of indecent liberties with a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sexual battery. He was placed in the Moore County jail under a $75,000 secured bond and is due in court Aug. 26.

The charges are the result of a month-long investigation by the sheriff's office and Department of Social Services, which was opened when a Carthage family called authorities to report an assault on a child.
