Carrboro woman wanted on child abuse charge

— Carrboro police were searching Thursday for a woman who they say abused and injured an infant.

Maria Estela Chavez-Guizar, of 501 Jones Ferry Road, Apt. S-2, is wanted on a charge of intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.

Police said that Chave-Guizar harmed an infant who was in her care on Jan. 27. More details weren't released.

    WRAL moderators are NOTHING more than pathetic soccer moms - tammydale.....

    I'm not really sure what being a soccer mom has to do with this article! I am really saddened by the abuse against children that seems to be an everyday occurrence. I hope that this baby will be ok!

    That being said, I am a soccer mom and in no means am I Pathetic! I find it interesting that you think it's ok to put others down even when you don't know them. Can we please stick to the news article and this poor little baby and stop the name calling?
