Carrboro woman killed in Chapel Hill wreck

A Carrboro woman died in a two-vehicle wreck in Chapel Hill Friday morning, police said.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A Carrboro woman died in a two-vehicle wreck in Chapel Hill Friday morning, police said.

Linda Veatch Frank, 70, was pulling onto Martin Luther King Boulevard from a private drive north of Barclay Road at about 9 a.m. and was struck by a car driven by Lakeshia Michelle Walker, 32, of Chapel Hill, police said.

Walker was taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Her condition was unknown Friday afternoon.

No charges have been filed in the wreck, which remains under investigation.
