Local farmers' markets are helping shoppers get ready for Thanksgiving with pre-Thanksgiving markets next Tuesday.
And, in addition to sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, fresh turkeys and other holiday favorites, Carrboro Farmers' Market will feature farm stories for kids told by a professional storyteller.
From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, the market will be open for shopping, cooking demonstrations and stories told by Cynthia Raxter throughout the afternoon. Sounds like a great way to gear up for Thursday.
