Carolina Puppet Theatre plans two shows this week

Posted July 17

If you're looking to get out of the heat this week with your younger kids, check out the Carolina Puppet Theatre, which has two shows in Wake County.

These shows are best for ages 7 and under or so and feature stories, songs, puppets and some opportunities to get involved in the fun on stage. This week's shows are 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, and 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Renaissance Centre in downtown Wake Forest.

The shows feature Ms. Poly and Ms. Ester, along with their puppet superstar Bartlet. My girls loved these shows when they were much younger. We caught them at the former Kazoom Children's Theater near downtown Raleigh. These days, they've spread out to other venues.

Tickets are $5 per person for each of the shows. You can get them online or at the door.
