Carolina Ballet performs 'Little Mermaid'

Starting this weekend, the Carolina Ballet will perform the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale, "The Little Mermaid."

Tickets start at $35 for the show, which opens Thursday and runs on select dates, with lots of matinees, through Feb. 19. It takes place at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts' Fletcher Theater in Raleigh. It's a much smaller space than Memorial Auditorium and makes for an intimate experience for the audience - great for kids.
