RALEIGH, N.C.Carolina Ale House will open on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh on Monday at 11 a.m. The restaurant is on the third floor of a new building at the corner of Glenwood and Tucker Street.

There are festivities planned for the grand opening, including a visit from the Carolina Hurricanes' Storm Squad. The first 99 people through the door on Monday will get a punch card good for free lunch for a year at the downtown Raleigh location.

Monday also kicks off the venue's fundraising campaign for the YMCA of the Triangle's Y Learning Program. For the first seven days of operation, 10 percent of food sales will go to the nonprofit.

This Ale House will feature 96 draft beer selections, which breaks a company record, general manager John Galanos said. Many of those beers will be local, seasonal and craft. The bar will also serve up 99 bottles beers, handcrafted cocktails and wine.

The Glenwood location will serve as the brand's new flagship location. The local franchise opened its first Ale House on Creekside Drive in Raleigh a little more than 15 years ago. That location closed last month.

"The decision to relocate was emotional for us, but it just made good business sense. Glenwood's lively atmosphere is perfect for a restaurant like Carolina Ale House," brand founder Lou Moshakos said in a statement.

In addition to 70 TVs in the restaurant, the Glenwood location also boasts a winterized patio, retractable roof, a fourth-story observation deck and digital menus.

Carolina Ale House has 24 locations across the southeast.
