Popular eatery Carolina Ale House announced Friday it will open more locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee in the coming months, creating about 800 jobs.

The company, LM Restaurants Inc., said an Ale House will open in early 2014 at 500 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh.

The new Raleigh location, at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Tucker Street, will be three stories and include a rooftop bar.

Other North Carolina locations planned for the coming expansion will be in Concord and Winston-Salem.

There are currently 20 locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

Bars and pubs are the way to go ,since people like to drink their problems and nervousness and embarrassments away instead of facing them head on....Drink your fears away, for a few moments then welcome back to reality and everything is just as you left it and maybe worse snce you can't understand you don't drink and drive.

Anyone who is starting a bar/restaurant would do well to emulate the CAH plan. They didn't try to get too big too fast and now they are reaping the benefits. It will be great to have them at Glenwood & Tucker to show the posers at Tobacco Road what sports and food are all about.

A Carolina Ale House in Greensboro would be awesome. There are pretenders, but they are no where near as good as Carolina!

Any chance you can come to Garner?

Carolina Ale House - very good. Carolina Ale House with a rooftop bar - excellent. Carolina Ale House with a rooftop bar downtown in Glenwood South - perfect!
