Carnival stabbing suspect gets $1K bond

A parolee suspected in the stabbing of a teenager at a carnival in Burlington has been released after making a $1,000 secured bond.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A parolee suspected in the stabbing of a teenager at a carnival in Burlington has been released after making a $1,000 secured bond.

Burlington police arrested Cameron Romero Graves, 22, Saturday on one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said that Graves stabbed Joshua Ryan Wilson, 16, multiple times Friday night. Wilson underwent surgery at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, and his condition was stable.

Graves had been out of prison for about six months after serving nearly five years for 2005 armed robbery, kidnapping and burglary convictions, according to state Department of Correction records.

While in prison, he had six infractions, including assaulting a person with a weapon and involvement with a gang.
