Caribbean carnival is Saturday in downtown Raleigh

— A celebration of Caribbean culture is planned Saturday in downtown Raleigh. 

CaribMask is holding its annual Caribbean Carnival Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. featuring live music, dancing and cuisine. 

There is a parade at noon and performers throughout the day will include Skinny Fabulous, St. Vincy Soca Artist, Empress Charmaine, African King, Ras Medy, Crucial Fyah and Dwytea. 

Food, art and a special children's corner are also on tap. 

Admission is free.

    LOL. downtown Raleigh ain't all that big! just go downtown - follow your ears and/or nose and I'm confident you'll find it.

    Actually sounds like it could be entertaining- love me some island foods!! Where in downtown though??
