Car slams into Fayetteville police cruiser
A man who apparently fell asleep at the wheel crashed into a Fayetteville police cruiser early Wednesday, police said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man who apparently fell asleep at the wheel crashed into a Fayetteville police cruiser early Wednesday, police said.
Emanuel Starks faces several charges in the wreck, which occurred at about 5 a.m. on Bragg Boulevard near Old Shaw Road, police said. Starks' car crossed a median and slammed into a police car driven by Officer Shawn Strepae, police said.
Strepae he was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center as a precaution and was released. Starks suffered multiple facial injuries and was treated at the hospital and released.
