RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Rally, a vintage car, hot rod and motorcycle show, is this Saturday on Glenwood South from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Glenwood Avenue will be shut down from Hillsborough Street to Peace Street to make way for the cars, vendors, music and more. The event is free for spectators. Car registration, only open to vehicles from 1980 or older, is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show.

Besides looking at cars and motorcycles, check out these event highlights:

  • The Local Color Art Gallery is doing a Plein Air Paint Out, where local artists will paint landscapes and scenes from the show.
  • Lucky B's Bar is hosting the Cotton and the Cary White Trash band from 1 to 4 p.m. The show is free.
  • The Awards Presentation will be held at 4 p.m. at the corner of North Street and Glenwood Avenue. There are several awards categories, including Best Antique (1940 or older), Best Rat Rod, Best Modified and Best Paint.

The Raleigh Rally benefits the Glenwood South Neighborhood Collaborative, so be sure to visit the local restaurants and businesses while you're there.
