Car rear-ends school bus in Wake Forest

One child was taken to the hospital for observation Wednesday after a car rear-ended a Wake County school bus at Ligon Mill Road and Coach Lantern Way in Wake Forest, a school system spokeswoman said.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — One child was taken to the hospital for observation Wednesday after a car rear-ended a Wake County school bus at Ligon Mill Road and Coach Lantern Way in Wake Forest, a school system spokeswoman said.

Eighteen students from Rolesville Middle School were on board the bus at the time. No one else was injured.

The car, a Honda, appeared to have serious front-end damage.
