WENDELL, N.C. — A woman is facing charges after her car crashed into a house Saturday evening in Wendell.

Jennifer Winfred Parker, 19, was leaving her house at 547 Coharie Drive when she ran off the road and hit a home at 137 Coharie Drive, according to the state Highway Patrol.

Paramedics transported Parker to Johnston Memorial Hospital in Clayton for treatment of a minor neck injury.

Troopers charged her with failure to maintain lane control and driving while impaired. Parker was impaired due to a prescription medication, troopers said.

The side porch of the house sustained about $5,000 worth of damage, troopers said.

No one inside the house was injured.
