"To all our family, friends, patrons Ole Time Barbecue has sustained some damage and will not be open for a while. A vehicle lost control last night and hit the building. Thankfully no one was injured. Just the building and our home. Stay in touch for further information," owners posted on the restaurant's Facebook page.

My husband and I love Ole Time! We just ate there last Thursday night. The food was delicious (always is) and the staff was friendly as usual. This is terrible news but I'm grateful no one was hurt. I will monitor Facebook to see how we, as long time customers, can help and support the owners.

the previous comment is obviously not frome a native NC person. Ole time Barbecue is a fiamily owned business, VERY local, by VERY kind people. The struggled to open the restaurant, and have worked VERY hard to keep it open. It is a fantastic place to eat, and will be missed by many while it is closed. As for the sanitation of the place, it passes the state health department requirements, receiving grades in the 90s on each inspection. The Eastern North Carolina cuisine is excellent. I look forward to eating there as soon as they reopen.
