RALEIGH, N.C. — Capitol Broadcasting Company, the parent company of WRAL-TV, invested $10,000 in the Wake Education Partnership to support programming in Wake County Public Schools, the organization announced on Wednesday.

CBC has invested a gift above $10,000 in the business-backed nonprofit every year since 2009 but has been a supporter since 1995. WakeEd Partnership invests more than $1 million through teacher innovation grants.

"For over 30 years, Capitol Broadcasting Company has committed itself to the Triangle community by supporting our education initiatives for Wake County,” said WakeEd Partnership President Steve Parrott. “This $10,000 donation plays a huge role in how WakeEd can serve students and teachers in the area, and we are honored that they continue to help us foster a better education system.”
