UNC Health on Wednesday said Dr. Paul Chelminski, an internal medicine physician, was on the flight and is in "good condition." There was no update on the pilot, who was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Capital City Girls Choir at Meredith College will hold auditions for the 2017-18 season on May 23 and May 24.


Capital City Girls Choir at Meredith College will hold auditions for the 2017-2018 season on May 23 and May 24.

Young women ages 9 to 18 are invited to try out for the choir, which launched in 1987. Both beginning and experienced choir members are invited to try out. Additional summer dates will be announced.

Auditions run about 10 minutes. Girls must come ready to sing a song without accompaniment, sing scales, repeat rhythms, match pitch and take part in other age-appropriate musical exercises.
