A person was pulled from Harris Lake on Friday, and a search is underway for a second boater. A spokesperson told WRAL News two men who were out fishing crashed into a cement pole in the water and were thrown from the boat.

<b>CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.</b> — Military officials say a Marine corporal from North Carolina has died in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense said Wednesday that 23-year-old Cpl. Daniel L. Linnabary II, of Hubert, died on Aug. 6 in Helmand province.

Linnabary was assigned to 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.
