Camp Lejeune Marine dies in Afghanistan

Marine Corps symbol at Camp Lejeune

A Marine assigned to Camp Lejeune has died in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense reported Monday.

Lance Cpl. Caleb L. Erickson, 20, of Waseca, Minn., died Feb. 28 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.
