Clues from witnesses and surveillance cameras led Fayetteville police to identify Jermaine Tyrone Clark, 25, of the 200 block of Tokay Drive, as a suspect in the Monday morning rape of two women picked up along Bragg Boulevard.

Police found Clark at his home and arrested him on charges of rape, sex offense and kidnapping.

They say he is the man who picked up two women – one right after 2 a.m. and another at about 2:40 a.m. – along Bragg Boulevard between Swain Street and Mike Street, drove them to another location and raped them.

Police said Clark did not know his victims.

He was being held Monday in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $300,000 secured bond.
