National Nanny Training Day is coming up and a North Carolina group will be holding a local program aimed at providing development and education for those who care for children. The Triangle program is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 18, at the Western Wake Tech campus in Cary.
Lora Brawley of NannyBizReivews created the national event. There will be about 40 local events this year, happening at the same time, according to the North Carolina Professional Association of Nannies, which is putting on the Triangle event.
Nannies, parents and child care providers are invited to attend. The program typically includes four one-hour workshops. Past topics have included car seat safety, children's activities, nanny contracts and the duties of the nanny as a mandatory reporter of child abuse and neglect, according to the association's website.
