Butner man sought in armed robbery, other charges

Durham police are searching for a 25-year-old Butner man wanted on armed robbery and other felony charges in connection with several cases in 2008.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are searching for a 25-year-old Butner man wanted on armed robbery and other felony charges in connection with several cases in 2008.

Adam Jonathan Tyler Bailey, 25, of C Street, is charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of breaking and entering, one count of obtaining property by false pretense, breaking and entering to a motor vehicle and felony larceny.

Police said the charges stem from three separate incidents:

  • April 7, 2008: Two men with guns broke into a home on Mallard Avenue and robbed the residents at gunpoint. Wesley Churchill Adams, 43, of Nation Avenue was arrested on April 30, 2008 on charges stemming from this incident.
  • April 21, 2008: A Plum Street resident reported the theft of two pit bull puppies from his home.
  • Oct. 19, 2008: A man broke into a car in a parking lot at 1930 Holloway St. and stole several items.
