Auto parts suppliers to expand in Edgecombe, Yadkin counties
Keihin Carolina System Technology will also invest $13 million to expand its plant in Tarboro. Lydall, another auto parts manufacturer, is adding 170 jobs.

Keihin Carolina System Technology plans to invest $13 million in its high-tech plant in Tarboro, which already employs 370 and produces engine control units and electronic assemblies for Honda Acuras as well as Honda Power Sports.
The company has operated in Tarboro since 1997. It operates in 11 countries and has about 16,000 workers.
Separately, officials said Friday that another automotive parts manufacturer would add 170 jobs at facilities in Hamptonville and Yadkinville.
Lydall makes thermal and acoustical products. It already employs 500 people in Hamptonville.
The company will invest $18.5 million as part of the expansion.
Lydall qualified for a $300,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which provides financial assistance to attract business to the state. Companies receive no money upfront and must meet job and investment targets to obtain the funds.
