Container Store coming to Raleigh

Posted April 9, 2010

The Container Store will open its first North Carolina location in October near Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, a spokeswoman said Friday.

The 25,000-square-foot store will occupy a building vacated by Circuit City.

The company, based in Dallas, Texas, sells organization and storage products for homes and offices.

Applications are being accepted via the company's Web site for an estimated 60 jobs at the location. A grand opening is planned for Oct. 16.

That's right, OTB. I think IKEA now stands as perhaps the only big chain out there that I've seen and really want. CAN'T WAIT for TCS. It is a required stop when we go to Atlanta.

Really? A nice article about a new store opening in Raleigh, and someone brings politics into it? I've heard good things about the Container Store. Now we just need to get an IKEA in town.
