Site SearchRaleigh, N.C. — PSNC Energy filed a request Friday with the state Utilities Commission to lower its rates by 10 percent.
If approved, the average household would save about $12 per month during the winter/heating season.
The commission is expected to rule on the request Jan. 26.
The change would go into effect next month.
PSNC lowered its rates by 14 percent earlier this month.
