Raleigh, N.C. — Unilever, a manufacturer of home care, personal care and food products, will expand its plant in Raeford and add 25 jobs after receiving a $60,000 One North Carolina Fund grant.
Unilever plans to invest $10.6 million over the next three years in the facility, which is located in Hoke County. The plant produces soaps, shampoos, deodorants and antiperspirants.
The One North Carolina Fund grants are awarded by Gov. Mike Easley’s office. They require a local match.
Other participants in the industrial recruiting process were the N.C. Department of Commerce, Hoke County, the Hoke County Economic Development Commission and the City of Raeford.
