Anoroc Agency To Design American Idol Clay Aiken's Web Site

The Anoroc Agency was recently hired to design the official fan club website of hometown American Idol pop star Clay Aiken.

Anoroc will provide all design elements and copywriting for the website, which is scheduled to launch April 2004. In addition, Anoroc will be responsible for designing all merchandise offered on the site, which will include original t-shirts and posters.

The agency's relationship with Aiken began this past November, when Anoroc was chosen over 90 competing agencies nationwide to promote Aiken's nonprofit foundation, The Bubel/Aiken Foundation. This fall, the agency created collateral and fundraising materials and helped expand the group's website.

In the past month, Aiken requested Raleigh-based Anoroc design his personal logo, which the company says should begin appearing on his merchandise and CD's this spring.

Most recently, Anoroc was commissioned to design the packaging and disc for an audio book for children entitled "Stories for Heroes" featuring celebrity readers helping to raise money for HIV/AIDS research and other diseases. Aiken is one of the celebrity readers, along with Regis Philbin, Kelly Rippa, Katie Couric and David Letterman. "Stories for Heroes" is scheduled to hit stores in time for the 2004 holiday season.
