Norak Promotes Two Execs

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK — Dr. Carson Loomis and Terry Willard have been promoted to new positions at Norak Biosciences.

Loomis is the firm's senior vice president, and Willard is executive vice president.

Loomis helped found Sphinx Pharmaceuticals and Xanthon. He also has been a director at Norak since its launch. Willard joined Norak in 2001.

Both have been actively involved in the development and commercialization of Norak's Transfluor drug discovery technology, which Norak licensed from Duke University in 1999.
