CARY — Dr. Edward Helton, chief strategist of regulatory and biomedical affairs at SAS, has been elected to the board of directors for the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium.
The CDISC is a non-profit organization seeking development of open worldwide standards that support the electronic acquisition, exchange, submission and archiving of clinical; trials data and metadata for medical and biopharmaceutical product development.
SAS is a corporate sponsor of the group. Also on the board is David Handelsman, a SAS clinical research and development strategist.
