SAS Exec Named to Scientific Data Board

Dr. Edward Helton, chief strategist of regulatory and biomedical affairs at SAS, has been elected to the board of directors for the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium.

The CDISC is a non-profit organization seeking development of open worldwide standards that support the electronic acquisition, exchange, submission and archiving of clinical; trials data and metadata for medical and biopharmaceutical product development.

SAS is a corporate sponsor of the group. Also on the board is David Handelsman, a SAS clinical research and development strategist.
